DAY 1 RECAP

The Hype Her Hoops Big Dance event started yesterday, and the energy was through the roof as teams came together ready to play. Over 25 college coaches, including representatives from Gonzaga, Louisville, and Washington State, among others, were excited to watch these girls compete. One player who stood out is the 6’1″ point guard, Jerzy Robinson, who is the number one player in the 2026 girls’ basketball class. She is currently averaging 21 points per game, 6 rebounds per game, and 2 steals per game, while her talented Team Why Not Premier squad remains undefeated with an impressive 33-point average win margin.

Day one was truly one for the books, and the excitement is only expected to escalate as more teams gear up to compete on day two. Teams such as Cal Storm Nike SD, Team Why Not Premier EYBL, Team NorCal, Colorado Sting, and many others will be taking the court to showcase their skills.
