In the 17U Division, Team Inspire National emerged as the champions, going 4-1 overall. Despite a tough loss to the formidable Kent Elite (WA) team on Saturday, Team Inspire National turned the tables, hitting a clutch shot in the last 10 seconds of the game to solidify their victory and claim the 17U division championship.

The 15U/16U division had a similar intensity, with Team Inspire Select capturing the championship. They avenged a previous loss to the MRC Rebels by defeating them 58-43 in the final. MRC had dominated the pool play with a perfect 3-0 record, but Team Inspire Select displayed resilience and motivation to claim the division title.

The 8th grade division witnessed the dominance of Team Inspire Elite, who completed their program division championship sweep with a convincing 42-22 victory against Bay City 14U Select. Led by Shirina Shi and Teagan Radcliffe, Team Inspire showcased exceptional skills throughout the weekend. Another standout player was Lulu Giometti of Bay City 14U Select, who consistently delivered strong performances with her versatile playing style and sharp shooting.

The 7th-grade division championship game resembled an intense heavyweight title fight, as Storm Nike NV and FBC Seattle battled it out for the top spot. In a close contest, NV Storm, led by Kyoko Beasly and Brookesly Wilson, emerged victorious with a narrow 37-34 win. FBC Seattle, a young and well-coached team led by Coach Cartiea French-Toney, showcased their strength and promising future with guards Iyla Jones and Nakiah Barrett. Their performance assured us that they will be back to claim the next Hype Her Hoops Championship.

In the 6th grade division, Bay City 12u Select stood out as the clear favorite, going undefeated with four double-digit victories. Joanna Lu and Kate Tu delivered outstanding performances, leading Bay City 12u Select to an impressive weekend. Bueno 12U, coached by Ali Bueno, put up a strong fight against Bay City, led by Sahana Sridhar’s notable contributions.

Lastly, the 4th/5th-grade division did not disappoint. In Pool A, Oakland Rebels secured a perfect 3-0 record, while in Pool B, a three-way tie left 24/8 Elite on the outside looking in during the tiebreaker. This set the stage for an exciting four-team playoff on Sunday.

Ultimately, Oakland Lady Rebels emerged as the champions, defeating Bay City 12U with a score of 45-28. Dakhiya Emanuel led the charge for Oakland Lady Rebels, impressively recording 29 points and 11 rebounds in the championship game.
