Top girls basketball performances at the Cactus Classic
The Cactus Classic was filled with elite girls basketball across all of the courts. Teams from all over took on the challenge to face some of the best talent, to claim the right to be called champions. With all the elite youth club teams in attendance only four teams could be crowned champions. Here are the Cactus Classic Champions highlights!
UPCOMING ELITE GIRLS BASKETBALL EVENTS
5th/6th Grade
Hoop Code 6th grade were absolutely dominant at the tournament going undefeated and cruising their way to becoming champions. Hoop Code was unreal on offense, scoring like crazy. The team scored 83 points in a game, a key contributor in that game was Ava Gorder who dropped 38 points, 4 Rebs, and 4 Ast.
8th Grade
Hoop Code 8th Grade came to play at the Cactus Classic, steam rolling the competition and taking the title of champions by force. Opponents had no way of stopping them as Hoop Code just kept scoring and scoring, in fact they dropped 91 points in just one game. Hoop Code worked great as a team and seemed too have no cracks on the defensive side and everyone was cooking on the offensive side.
15U/16U
Hoop Code 15U/16U took the Cactus Classic by storm, plowing through the competition and made their way to the Championship crown. Hoop Code went undefeated in the tournament putting on an offensive clinic while on their way to the top. Hoop Code dropped 99 points in a game being the record high amongst championship teams. On the defensive side they were stealing like crazy creating many turnovers.
17U
Locked In 17U had an amazing performance at the Cactus Classic, finishing with a record of 4-1 and being ultimately crowned as champions. The team was an absolute force on the offensive side making nearly 25 threes in the tournament that created a major lead for their opponents to catch up to. On the defensive side they were in attack mode playing aggressive on ball defense leading to numerous steals.
