From the high school divisions through the youth grades, players showcased their talent while helping lead their teams deep into bracket play.

Cordova was one of the top producers at Hype Her Hoops Heat Check. She brings deep shooting range, volume shot-making, and the confidence to stretch defenses well beyond the arc. As a lead guard, she creates offense for herself and others while applying pressure defensively with active hands and strong anticipation.
Darby Chilcote-Dunn | 2028 | Guard | Statham Academy 17U National – 18.8 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 3.0 APG
Dunn is a skilled shot creator who scores from multiple levels of the floor. She shows a quick-trigger release from beyond the arc, knocks down shots off the catch, and creates separation with polished footwork. Martin earned All-Tournament honors at Hype Her Hoops Heat Check. At 6’0, she provides size and versatility on the wing while consistently producing within the flow of the offense. She showed touch from the perimeter, spaced the floor effectively, and used her length to create matchup advantages throughout the weekend.

Ong earned All-Tournament honors at Hype Her Hoops Heat Check. She plays with strong open-floor pace, changes speeds well, and puts pressure on defenses with her handle and ability to attack the paint. She also brings value defensively, using her quickness and anticipation to create turnovers and turn stops into transition opportunities.

Bogan-Jacobs earned All-Tournament honors at Hype Her Hoops Heat Check with one of the most complete stat lines of the event. She plays with advanced lead-guard control, scores at all three levels, and uses her size to finish through contact. Her rebounding, passing reads, and defensive pressure give her real two-way impact.
Kamdyn Klamberg | 2027 | 6’2 Guard | Team G 17U P24 – 16.5 PPG, 5.3 RPG
Klamberg earned All-Tournament honors at Hype Her Hoops Heat Check with her size, scoring versatility, and mismatch value. At 6’2, she can produce inside or stretch the floor, using strong footwork, touch around the rim, and a confident perimeter shot. Her rebounding instincts and two-way tools make her a major matchup problem.

Holton earned All-Tournament honors at Hype Her Hoops Heat Check with her two-way guard play. She handles pressure well, creates off the dribble, and keeps defenses honest with her perimeter shooting. Her quick hands and anticipation also showed up defensively, turning stops into transition chances for Troop West.

Diaz is a confident scorer and playmaker. She attacks gaps decisively, gets downhill, and elevates into pull-up jumpers with confidence. She creates her own shot, makes sound decisions with the ball, and consistently generates offense.

Van Horn controlled games with her ability to get to her spots and make plays under pressure. She consistently created offense from the mid-range, attacked gaps off the dribble, and finished through contact when defenses collapsed. Her length and instincts also showed up defensively, generating turnovers and turning them into scoring opportunities on the other end.

Tran stood out with her ability to control the game from the guard spot. She handled pressure, created offense off the dribble, and consistently made the right read when defenses loaded up against her. Despite her size, she competed on the glass and impacted both ends with her activity, instincts, and ability to generate transition opportunities.

Burks made her impact with tough perimeter defense and reliable offensive production. She closes space quickly, stays balanced guarding the ball, and brings energy in rotation. Offensively, she stretches the floor with her shooting, attacks gaps with force, and keeps the game moving with her transition pace.

A young guard playing up with real confidence. Herrera creates off the dribble, attacks gaps, finishes through contact, and can stretch the floor with the 3-ball. She also brings active on-ball defense that turns pressure into transition offense.

Cosio impacted the game in multiple ways throughout Hype Her Hoops Heat Check. She consistently made plays with her court vision, knocked down perimeter shots, and created offense for herself and teammates. Defensively, her anticipation and aggressive instincts stood out, allowing her to generate steals and create extra possessions.

Edwards brought steady production and leadership throughout Hype Her Hoops Heat Check. A left-handed guard with deep shooting range, she stretches defenses and makes smart decisions with the ball in her hands. Her court vision and willingness to create for teammates stood out, while her energy and competitiveness helped spark Cal Storm in key moments.

Echtenkamp gave Troop West a physical perimeter piece who could guard, rebound, and create downhill pressure. She was active in gaps defensively, showed good timing jumping passing lanes, and used those plays to get out in transition. Offensively, she was at her best attacking closeouts and finishing through angles around the rim.
Talithakoum Poialii-Hunkin 2028 | 5’11 Forward | Why Not Premier EYBL 16U
Poialii-Hunkin gives Why Not Premier a forward who can create mismatch problems without needing the offense built around her. She has the size to score over smaller wings, enough handle to attack slower matchups, and a smooth jumper that makes defenders respect her outside the paint. Defensively, her length lets her cover ground, switch across spots, and disrupt plays without gambling.

Lopez gave Cal Storm a steady guard who impacted more than the scoring column. She read the floor well, made the extra pass, and helped create clean possessions without over-dribbling. The Hype Her Hoops Heat Check delivered one of the strongest girls basketball weekends of the spring, with standout performances across every age group. Grace Nordeen, Jadyn Van Horn, and Layla Curtis headlined the event with MVP honors in the 17U Hype, 17U Gold, and 16U Gold divisions, while players such as Jayden Witten, Eliza Delgadillo, Reiko Richards, Maya Urteaga, Darby Chilcote-Dunn, Bayanai Cordova, and Jaiyana Bogan-Jacobs delivered some of the top statistical performances of the weekend.
From high school standouts to young rising prospects, the event showcased the depth of talent on the Hype Her Hoops circuit and set the stage for a strong summer of competition.
