Primetime elevates youth girls basketball in Orange County on President’s Day weekend


HHH Primetime Presidents Day Classic, was an absolute success and an impactful event for girls youth basketball here in Orange County. Youth elite basketball was being displayed all over the OGP facility from down to the wire comebacks, to absolute blowouts. Teams traveled from Arizona and NorCal to compete with the best in youth girls basketball. During the entire weekend you could feel the intensity and competitiveness of teams that were fighting to become champions. This is just the beginning of Youth Girls basketball in Orange County as more and more Hype Her Hoops events are yet to come to have the opportunity to put your team to the test.

4th Grade


Inspired Athletics started out the event with a tough loss to Run N’ Jump hoops  but it was nothing but motivation for the team as they would go on to win the rest of their games and become Champions. Tatum Gordon was the star of the show for her team as she scored 19 or more points in all three of the team’s victories.

5th Grade


Cal Storm 11U Black  plowed through the competition as they went undefeated in the event with 4 out of the 5 games leading by 15 or more. With this momentum they would cruise their way to becoming champions as they made it look easy. 

6th Grade Bronze/Silver 


Athletes 4 Christ went undefeated in the event and were an unstoppable force, as they would score 50 points, 30 rebounds, and nearly 20 steals as a team in one game. A Key player for the team was Ella-marie Andaro who had two double-doubles in the tournament to push her team to the top. 

6th Grade Gold 


GBL Finished the tournament with a great record of 4-1 even after starting off with a loss they were able to turn around into a championship victory. GBL had a very well balanced team as everyone was contributing to their success whether it be with points, assist, or defense, in fact as a team they had a combined 40 rebounds.

7th Grade Bronze/Silver


WOE, went undefeated at the event and worked through the competition as they dominated each team they played. But one Elite player that really stood above the crowd was Affiani Saleaumua-Trisby who scored double digit points 3 out of 4 games alongside two doubles and was responsible for half the points and rebounds in one game.

7th Grade Gold


SES came to destroy the competition and they did, as they won all their games by double digits, with a high of 52 points differential, and would cruise to becoming champions. The biggest contribution to this championship victory was SES scoring ability and Jordan Janae Brown was the biggest scorer of them all as she scored 20 plus points in every single game. 

8th Grade Bronze 


Points, points, points was the recipe for success for the Cal Sparks as they outscored most of the competition by vast amounts to become champions. Some of their key scorers were Katie Wang who dropped 20 points in one game and Lauren Wolfe who scored more than 20 points in back to back games. 

8th Grade Silver


Run Jump N Hoop a 7th grade team who stepped up to the 8th grade challenge and were not phased by the competition and would in fact go undefeated and be crowned champions. To compliment their shooting ability is their strong attacking defense compiled of strong pressures and elite stealing ability which gave them the advantage. 

8th Grade Gold


West Coast Premier Nike Elite went through a gauntlet of match ups playing in a whopping 6 games, however through the trial and tribulations they came out victorious to become champions. The team’s ability to shoot and find open teammates was a big contribution to their success and gave them a distinct advantage.
